This page features playlists and other links related to my new chapbook, Tracks: Memoirs from a Life with Music, from Bamboo Dart Press. Odds are you got here from the link in the book, but if you don't already have a copy, see the Book Links section in the right-hand column for purchasing information.
I've created Spotify and YouTube playlists with the tracks discussed in the book; they can be found in the right-hand column. I'll try to keep these up to date, but albums and videos come and go, so there may be times when some of the songs are missing. Wherever possible, I've included the original recordings on Spotify and live performances on YouTube. In some cases, where the original recording is not on Spotify, it might be in the YouTube playlist. The Spotify playlist should be playable from this page, or you can click the Spotify logo in the upper right corner of the widget to launch your own account/app. If you don't have a Spotify account, you may only get short previews. The YouTube widget will freeze if it encounters an invalid video, so your best bet here is to click on the title of the video shown, and it will bring you to the YouTube page for the entire playlist. Finally, I've also included a video of me performing my own lyrics to "Blue Monk," and Spotify links for my two albums, Mercerized! Songs of Johnny Mercer (2016) and It's Uncle! (1985).
